강물은 흐르면서 물살이 센 쪽을 깎고 느린 쪽에 모래를 쌓습니다.
그렇게 수십 년을 흘러 굽이를 끊고 호수 하나를 남깁니다. 바로 우각호입니다.
모래 한 알이 당장의 흐름을 바꾸지는 못하지만, 시간과 방향이 결국 지형을 바꾸는 것입니다.
AI 컴퓨팅 시장에도 비슷한 일이 벌어지고 있습니다.
수요는 빠르게 커지는데, 공급이 따라가지 못해 가격이 치솟고 있습니다.
병목을 풀기 위한 다양한 시도가 이어집니다. DRAM 대신 플래시 메모리를 쌓아보기도 하고, AI 기업이 직접 칩을 만들기도 합니다.
새로운 시도 하나가 당장 판을 뒤집기는 어렵겠지만, 물길은 서서히 바뀌고 있습니다.
공급이 병목에 걸린 지금의 흐름도 분명히 바뀔 것입니다.
그리고 그 변화는 우리도 모르는 새에 눈앞에 도착해 있을지 모릅니다.

Do you know about ox-horn shaped lakes?
As a river flows, the faster current erodes the water and deposits sand on the slower side.
After flowing like this for decades, it cuts off the bend and leaves behind a single lake.
This is an oxbow lake. A single grain of sand cannot change the immediate flow, but time and direction eventually change the topography.
A similar phenomenon is occurring in the AI computing market.
Demand is growing rapidly, but supply cannot keep up, causing prices to skyrocket.
Various attempts to resolve this bottleneck are continuing. Companies are trying to stack flash memory instead of DRAM, and AI firms are even manufacturing their own chips.
While a single new attempt may not immediately turn the tables, the tide is gradually shifting.
The current flow, which is bottlenecked by supply issues, will undoubtedly change as well.
And that change may arrive right before our eyes, before we even realize it.
