📢 ITDA Semiconductor has signed an MOU with TÜV Rheinland Korea to prepare for the robotics and humanoid sector.

While preparing for ISO 26262 functional safety certification, the biggest lesson we learned was that safety isn’t something you finish with a single certification. It’s a domain you have to keep understanding and preparing for on an ongoing basis.

As more robots move through the same spaces as people, 🤖 the semiconductors inside them need to deliver not just performance but increasingly safety and reliability. Along with that, international standards and safety requirements are changing just as fast as the technology itself.

In step with these changes, ITDA will work together with 🤝 TÜV Rheinland Korea to share technology trends and standards and regulatory information related to humanoid robots, and to continuously understand and prepare for international safety standards.

Looking back, ISO 26262 certification was the process of building out a system for functional safety, and we see this MOU as another step toward continuously learning the international standards and safety requirements that will keep evolving ahead.

ITDA will keep building not only SoC design automation technology, but also a development environment where safety is built in from the start. 🛡️
